Moving on to Being Free™ is a patient-focused, evidence-based, tobacco cessation program. Funded since 2011 by the Ministry of Health and Long-term Care, this program is a research study. Moving on to Being Free has been successfully integrated into health services in Northwestern Ontario, including primary care clinics, acute care, and through the Meno Ya Win Community Centre - which serves 33 First Nations communities, 28 of which are fly-in communities.
During this webinar you will:
- Explore strategies to effectively engage with Indigenous communities to provide commercial tobacco interventions.
- Gain a better understanding of the impact (reach and efficacy) of various best practice tobacco intervention options.
- Gain a better understanding of intensive tobacco interventions in practice, using Moving On to Being Free as a model.
- Identify steps to intensify a tobacco intervention to improve patient outcomes.
