Dr. Meghan Cellamare is a dedicated perinatal nurse, educator and clinical leader committed to advancing maternal-newborn care through education, innovation and evidence-based practice. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BScN) and a Master of Science in Nursing (MsCN) from York University and earned her PhD in Nursing from the University of Arizona.

With over 20 years of experience as a perinatal nurse and more than 10 years as a perinatal clinical practice leader at Scarborough Health Network, Meghan has been instrumental in shaping clinical excellence, staff development, and patient safety initiatives. Her work focuses on mentorship, policy development, quality improvement and interdisciplinary collaboration. She has led the development and implementation of staff education programs, orientation frameworks and evidence-informed best practices to enhance perinatal care.

A passionate educator, Meghan is a certified Fetal Health Surveillance, Basic Life Support and Neonatal Resuscitation Program instructor and has expanded her expertise in simulation-based learning. She serves as a Managing Obstetrical Risk Efficiently (moreOB) core team member and administrator, facilitating strategic planning, staff engagement and continuous education to improve maternal and neonatal outcomes.

Meghan is a past president of the Canadian Association of Perinatal and Women’s Health Nurses (CAPWHN) and continues to contribute to professional practice through leadership, advocacy and committee work. Guided by a nursing philosophy rooted in lifelong learning, collaboration and excellence in patient-centered care, she remains dedicated to strengthening nursing in Ontario and beyond.
