Una Ferguson

I have been retired since 2020, but I have continued to maintain my RN non-practicing license with the College of Nurses of Ontario. Currently, I serve as the chair of the Retired Nurses' Interest Group and as the communication executive network officer (ENO) for the Staff Nurse Interest Group, where I also previously held the position of Chair. I have had the honour of serving on the RNAO board for five years as Region 10 representative and for three years as the Interest Group representative.
I firmly believe that the success and vitality of Interest Groups are essential to maintaining member engagement within RNAO. A strong network of interest groups directly correlates with a robust membership base. It is clear that chapters with active and engaged groups can significantly influence membership growth. By providing the necessary support to interest groups and leveraging word-of-mouth within our nursing communities, we can foster greater membership, reignite passion for the nursing profession, and strengthen RNAO as a whole.
