Dear Colleagues, Welcome to my Saturday, August 21 blog during this nineteenth month of COVID-19 in Ontario. You can find earlier blogs here, including thematic ones posted on Doris’ COVID-19 Blog. And, for the many resources RNAO offers on COVID-19, please visit the COVID-19 Portal where you will also find RNAO media hits and releases on the pandemic here. Feel free to share with your colleagues and friends. To my awesome readers, I am changing the blog’s format to make it easier for you to read it in hand-held devices. Instead of receiving the whole blog with this email, you will find below a link that will bring you to my blog in an easy-to-read format. As always, let me know if you think of important topics you would like me to discuss in upcoming weeks. Today you can read about: (1) RNAO’s policy platform for the 2021 federal election; (2) RNAO’s media release in response to the Ontario government’s latest vaccination announcement; (3) WHO’s condemnation of the rush by wealthy nations to give COVID vaccine boosters; and (4) a call on Canada to back the WHO moratorium on booster shots and to donate vaccines. To read the full blog, please go here. Enjoy the reading and make sure to keep safe in the midst of this raging fourth wave and the nasty Delta variant.
