This October, RNAO will celebrate its fourth-annual fall tour, which began with RNAO’s 90th anniversary in 2015. The purpose of the fall tour is to allow RNAO's leaders to meet face-to-face with members across the province and empower nurses in their local communities to be leaders of change. The visits also allow for nurses to share their stories, as well as their thoughts and concerns on any issues related to their practice or the health system more broadly. This event is in addition to the regular visits that RNAO’s executive office often conducts in local areas to engage with members and better understand local issues.
This year President Angela Cooper Brathwaite and CEO Doris Grinspun will be conducting the tour.
To maximize participation, you could collaborate with one or more chapters in the nearby area to host a visit over 1-2 days. We also encourage members of interest groups to tag along with those chapters and regions that apply to host these visits. You may consider hosting a meet and greet, town hall, site visit, or a combination of these activities.
All requests will be considered on a first come, first served basis. Priority will also be given to those who did not host a visit last year.
If you are interested in organizing a special chapter or region meeting for your members, or if you already have a meeting scheduled on the dates above, please discuss with your chapter or region and respond to this survey by Tuesday, July 24.
We recommend gathering a team of at least five members, who will form your planning committee for the event.
We look forward to another exciting round of fruitful discussions!
