One member, one vote

Voting opens at 12 noon (ET) on June 6, 2023, Voting closes at 12 noon (ET) on June 9, 2023.

As an RNAO member, you play an important role in deciding governance issues that affect the current and future direction of your professional association. One member, one vote is how you can make your voice heard. All regular members with the exception of undergraduate students are eligible to vote. This year, members are asked to cast their vote on two items:

  1. THE APPOINTMENT OF KPMG AS RNAO’S AUDITORS FOR FISCAL YEAR END 2023
  2. 2023 CANDIDATES LISTED ON THE TICKET OF NOMINATIONS FOR BOARD OF DIRECTORS

Notes:

■ Positions are acclaimed in the event that there is only one candidate nominated for an open position. That candidate shall be acclaimed into the position and there shall be no election for that position.

■ Appointed positions are in accordance with RNAO Policy 6.06 (2); “In the event that no nomination is received for a representative for a region by the new deadline set by the nominations committee or no nominations have been submitted for any other position, or that withdrawal of a nomination by the nominees leaves no candidate for a particular office or offices on the Ticket of Nominations, the provincial nominations committee shall notify the Board and the Board shall nominate one or more persons for the office or offices with no nominees to the annual meeting at which the election is to take place.”

■ No nominations were received for vacant positions.

Voting is open from June 6, 2023 12 noon (ET) to June 22, 2023 12 noon (ET). Results will be announced at the annual general meeting on June 23, 2023.
