Jennifer Flood

Currently I am a full-time professor in the Bachelor of Science in Nursing program at Sault College. I have been in this role since October 2021, but I worked as a casual instructor since 2013. From 2009 to 2021 I was employed at Algoma Public Health (APH) and during this time worked in a variety of programs to promote the health and wellness of our community. I am also working casually with APH in the vaccine preventable diseases/immunization program. Within my work I exhibit strong organizational, interpersonal and assessment skills. I am passionate about giving back and supporting health as represented by my volunteer activities. I am currently a member of the Parks and Recreation Advisory Committee for the City of Sault Ste. Marie, acting in the role as vice-chair. From 2011 to 2016, I sat on the executive of the Algoma chapter of the Registered Nurses’ Association (RNAO) holding the role of both treasurer and political action and policy officer. I held the position of treasurer/secretary for the Ontario Nurses’ Association Local 012 from 2019–2021 and currently I am the treasurer for OPSEU CAAT-A Local 613. Additionally, I am currently completing my Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) through Aspen University.
