I wish to be considered for a second term as RNAO Region 2 board representative. This last year has been a very informative one as I have learned the role and responsibilities of the position. I look forward to continuing this learning process as I represent RNAO members during these very uncertain political times.

I obtained my Honours BScN from Lakehead University in 1993, and have been a rural ER nurse for the past 24 years. I recently completed my Occupational Nursing Certificate. I have been an RNAO member on and off over the years, and for the last several years, have become more actively involved with my chapter executive as the policy and political action executive network officer (ENO). I have had the privilege of participating in Queen’s Park on the Road activities, meeting with my local MPP and organizing Take Your MPP to Work visits to discuss the very serious issues of RN replacement and enhancing NP scope of practice, to name a few. I have had the privilege of attending the last three Queen’s Park Day events, as well as AGMs, all of which I have found to be fulfilling and invigorating. These events and meetings add energy to my desire to continue to promote the importance of maintaining RNs in critical care areas, as well as learning more about how to best utilize BPGs in our organizations in order to improve the health and health care of all those in our communities.
