Regina Elliot

Region 8 Candidate
Regina is a Registered Nurse with 33 years’ experience in public health and acute care nursing including emergency, ICU, surgical nursing and women’s health. She has over 15 years of nursing leadership experience. As Program Manager at the Durham Region Health Department, Regina has led public health programs including immunization, infectious disease prevention, and health promotion programs. Regina is passionate about public health nursing, promoting and protecting the health of clients, families, communities, and populations. Her educational background includes the completion of her BscN from Western University and her MN from Ryerson University in 2010. She values the important work of building healthy public policies, advocating government regarding accessible and equitable health care and promoting the importance of nurses as significant partners and leaders in the health care system.
Regina has been an active member of RNAO for many years and for the past 6 years in the Durham Northumberland chapter, first as Membership ENO and as President for the last 4 years. In 2017 her chapter was nominated as Chapter of the Year. Regina is excited about the opportunity to represent Region 8 on the Board of Directors and work collaboratively with nurses across the province to influence nursing practice and health care in Ontario.
