AGM: Active Nurses Algoma 2020
It’s time to get ACTIVE and take ACTION on self-care and wellness in the nursing community!
This year, 2020, the Year of the Nurse and Midwife, has turned out to be a remarkable year of recognition, challenge, and learning for nurses. However, it is important that amid these unprecedented and challenging times, we remember the importance of wellness among our nurses who continue to work tirelessly to keep Algoma safe and healthy.
Safeguarding our own physical, mental, and spiritual wellbeing is important, as ultimately, the wellbeing of our health care providers and the care of our patients are integrally linked. This session is a step in the right direction to increasing access to self-care and building a community of wellness support for nurses in Algoma.
We know upstream action is needed to protect the wellness of nurses, and that we must harness our collective strength and energy to keep caring – not only for others but for ourselves too!
As part of Algoma RNAO’s AGM, we are bringing you a valuable session focused on self-care, physical activity, and overall wellness amid Covid-19 for our nursing community. Our hope is that this year’s AGM brings us together to network, learn, and remind ourselves that we matter and our health matters.
