Registration is closed for this event
Nursing students, don’t miss out on an amazing event delving into bullying within the nursing profession and the importance of wellness. Join to connect and hear from top nurses in the field!

SUMMARY:

Nursing students deal with many hardships, many of which centre around us gaining our footing in placement or early on in our health-care careers. At this event, we aim to dive into what bullying is like for nursing students, and how we can exercise self-care and wellness to overcome bullying and become stronger health-care workers.

Bullying in nursing has become a continuous cycle which must be addressed. We, as students, must be informed and educated in self-care to sustain our bodies and minds in the workplace.

There are intricate connections between bullying and wellbeing, shedding light on the toll it takes on self-esteem, confidence, and overall quality of life. We will address this by bringing in discourse surrounding self-care, procrastination and burnout. We will also share strategies for nursing students to maintain their mental health, which will benefit both themselves and their patients in current and future nursing practice.

By becoming united, we can forge a path toward a nursing community that thrives on respect, compassion, professionalism, wellbeing and the shared goal of providing exceptional patient care.
