Brief Objectives:

Nursing School during COVID Pandemic has its challenges. Student, faculty, and employer stress and burn-out have been at an all-time high. It is important that we pause to understand the impact of COVID on the educational experience and student wellbeing.

A panel of three nursing students will speak about their lived experiences of:

  1. Nursing school over the last two years
  2. What made them languish?
  3. What leads them to thrive in these COVID times?

Dr. McMillan will also participate in the panel and speak about some of her recent findings on new graduate nurse transition into practice during the Covid-19 pandemic in Ontario.

Fostering wellness in trying times as a means to “bust burnout” will be central to this presentation.
