Dr Maxwell recently published an article " Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion in Departments of Obstetrics, Gynaecology, and Reproductive Health"  in JOGC Aug 2020. The webinar will explore this topic in more detail and provide an opportunity to reflect on support for health care team members, improving the workplace and quality of care.

Dr Cindy Maxwell is currently a Maternal Fetal Medicine Specialist & Division Head at Mount Sinai Hospital. She is a  Professor of Obstetrics and Gynaecology at University of Toronto. Her clinical and research interests include pregnancy affected by Class III obesity, malignancy, and gastrointestinal conditions.  Dr Maxwell became board certified in Obesity Medicine in 2015.

In 2020 Dr Maxwell was appointed as the Equity, Diversity & Inclusion Officer, Department of Obstetrics & Gynaecology, University of Toronto. She is a member of the Maternal Neonatal Committee of the Provincial Council for Maternal and Child Health.
