Western Fanshawe Nursing Paediatric Skills Workshop

The Pediatric Nurses Interest Group  (PedNIG) is excited to offer this opportunity open to all Western and Fanshawe Nursing Students. The day will consist of review of basic considerations for paediatric nursing care, and explore topics including Head to Toe Assessment, Medication Administration, prioritization and rapid assessment, as well as the principles of family centred care and psychosocial care. The end of the day will also feature a career panel of various paediatric practitioners to share their experiences in the field, with an opportunity for Q & A. 

The workshop is on January 25, 2020, and will run from 1000-1500h. Registration for the day will begin at 0930h. There will be a break for lunch, and food will be provided by the Western-Fanshawe Nursing Students’ Association. 

Be sure to bring your stethoscopes, a notebook and pen, and your enthusiasm to learn! 

* please note this event is only open to Western-Fanshawe nursing students. PedNIG membership will be verified to confirm registration fees, thank you!
