The RNAO Halton Chapter would like to invite all nursing students & new grads to come out to the Burlington Public Library (Central branch) - Frank Rose Room, 7pm - 9pm , 2331 NEW ST. BURLINGTON, Ontario, L7R 1J4, on Wednesday, November 14, 2018 for our annual networking & skills-building event (featuring free snacks & dessert!). This year's event will feature a "budgeting & financial basics" presentation by a Registered Nurse turned Financial Planner.
Also this year, the Chapter would like to recognize two nursing students who demonstrate leadership skills by using their voices to advocate for issues relevant to nursing. This year, the Chapter focused on a) encouraging nurses towards evidence-informed practice as well as b) creating awareness about the determinants of health and their impact on the human condition. If you know of any nursing students who focused their practice development in the areas of evidence-informed nursing and the determinants of health, you may want to consider nominating them.
Please write a 250-word reflection on why your nominated candidate is deserving of the RNAO Halton Chapter Nursing Student Recognition Award. In your email, please include 1. name of the nominee; 2. Name of School currently being attended; 3. Year in School. Please save your reflection of the candidate's nomination using a PDF version and then forward to rchahal@mcmaster.ca.
