  • Participants will gain tools to engage with politicians and stakeholders related to environmental issues.
  • RNAO’s 2022 Provincial Election platform emphasized “Environmental Determinants of Health” as one of five key issues.
  • Participants will gain tools to engage with politicians and stakeholders related to environmental issues.
  • We believe this event addresses the following from 2022 platform and will encourage nurses to stay or become politically active, now and in subsequent elections: “Human activity is driving climate change with increasing greenhouse gas emissions. Uncontrolled urban sprawl and insufficiently regulated resource extraction is eliminating water sources and productive land, and diminishing nature’s capacity to sustain life.” From: RNAO’s Provincial Election Platform 2022 https://rnao.ca/policy/platform-provincial#Environmental-determinants-of-health
