Eleanor Miller has worked in oncology for the past 26 years. She currently works as a patient care manager at Sunnybrook Health Sciences Centre. She has an intense passion for the work that she does and is constantly looking for ways to improve patients and staff satisfaction. Eleanor has been a member of RNAO for over 15 years and strongly believes that her years of experience and commitment to RNAO have positioned her to function effectively as a member of the resolutions committee.

Over the years, Eleanor has won numerous awards including 2013 MACA award for community service, the 2012 Excellence in Education Award, 2010/2011 Frima Starr Polak award, the 2009 De Souza Institute Fellowship Award, the 2008 CANO Excellence in Leadership award and more.

She has worked with the interprofessional team on the unit to develop a number of initiatives; including the unit specific patient satisfaction survey, the discharge planning patient and staff survey, the implementation of the C2 chemo council, a discharge checklist for oncology patients, the quality dying initiative and, currently chairs the patient education committee.

Eleanor has presented both nationally and internationally at conferences, and she recently presented at the Canadian Association of Nurses in Oncology conference in Toronto.
