A strategic and visionary senior health care executive, Dr. Rhonda Crocker Ellacott is known as a collaborative, patient- and family-centred, innovative and results-oriented leader. Rhonda is a committed individual who is passionate about patient and families at the centre of care, energized by new challenges and opportunities to better quality care, and driven to support teams to accomplish results.

Dr. Crocker Ellacott has a Baccalaureate in Nursing, Masters Clinical Nurse Specialist Degree in Nursing, and Doctorate in Human Services Administration (Health Care Administration). She is currently the Executive Vice President & Chief Nursing Executive of Thunder Bay Regional Health Sciences Centre and CEO, Nipigon District Memorial Hospital. She is responsible for the leadership of nursing and professional practice, as well as operationally responsible for surgical services, ambulatory care, critical care, emergency, trauma, women & children and diagnostics. Some examples of projects Rhonda has led as Executive VP & CNE include Total Patient Care in collaborative practice organizationally, moving all nurses to work within their full scope; the Nursing Resource Team as a method to ensure recruitment and retention while maximizing full-time nursing; and, Patient- and Family-Centred Care as a leading practice by Accreditation Canada.

Dr. Crocker Ellacott is pleased to have the privilege to serve as an RNAO Board Member-at-Large, Nursing Administration since June 2015 and looks forward to continuing to contribute in this capacity.
