Credentials:
RN, GNC(C)

An RN for close to 30 years, my career has incorporated roles in clinical, educational, consulting, and administrative nursing. During my 23-year membership in RNAO, I’ve been an active participant on the local Chapter executive, participated in many Take Your MPP To Work events, attended Queen’s Park Day, contributed as a member of a Best Practice Guideline development panel, acted as a stakeholder reviewer for another BPG and, more recently, volunteered to work with RNAO and the College of Nurses to discuss standards that will address nurse fatigue and protect the public.

I believe that nursing is a discipline with knowledge, skill, evidence, and service as central features of the profession. Nurses, as leaders, have a responsibility to influence and shape both nursing practice and health policy. RNAO provides a vehicle through which this responsibility can be carried out and so I welcome the opportunity to broaden my involvement with RNAO as a member of the Provincial Resolutions Committee.
