RN, MScN

I graduated with my BScN in 2009, followed by my MScN in 2012. I have worked in long-term care and education, and I currently work in public health. I am familiar with the issues that northern communities face, and I am passionate about working to improve the health of our communities.

My involvement with RNAO began with nursing student membership. In the final year of my nursing program, I was fortunate to have the opportunity to attend the RNAO AGM in Toronto. That experience still inspires me to this day. Once I graduated, I became an active chapter member and quickly became involved on the executive. I began as chapter secretary and then progressed to chapter president. I have held the position of Algoma Chapter President for several years now, and am proud of our local chapter and our recent ability to recruit a full executive, including active nursing student representatives. I am proud of the work that we do, and am honoured to continue to provide leadership at a local chapter level. I am now eager to become involved at a regional level, to help provide a northern outlook and continue to work to inspire and motivate our Region 11 chapters.
