I am a registered nurse at St. Joseph's Healthcare Hamilton working in mental health and psychiatry. I graduated from my master of science in nursing program at McMaster University in 2020 where I completed my thesis research examining access to primary care for adolescents with mental illnesses. I have held the role of vice president of the Hamilton Chapter for three years, previously serving as the communications executive network officer and the student member. I continue to demonstrate my dedication to RNAO and its members through my leadership at the Hamilton Chapter by planning, organizing and supporting the visibility of registered nurses (RN) at various events including Queen’s Park Day, meetings with our local MPPs and conference presentations.

In my clinical practice, I am a nurse who advocates for best practices and encourages cohesion within the team. I believe candid dialogue with nurses is an essential part of improving the health-care system such as openly discussing the integral need to support nurses' wellbeing.
