Her educational background includes the completion of her BScN from Western University and her Master’s in Nursing from Ryerson University in 2010. Currently, as nurse manager at the Durham Region Health Department, Regina has led public health programs, including immunization, infectious disease prevention, and health promotion programs. Regina is passionate about public health nursing, promoting and protecting the health of clients, families, communities and populations. She values the important work of building healthy public policies for all, and advocating to government regarding accessible and equitable health care. Regina believes nurses are knowledgeable and critical partners and leaders in the health-care system.

Regina has been an active member of RNAO for many years. For the past year, she has represented Region 8 on the RNAO Board of Directors. Previous to her year on the board, Regina actively participated on the Durham Northumberland Chapter executive for six years, first as membership executive network officer (ENO), and then as president. Regina is proud that the chapter was nominated as RNAO Chapter of the Year during her presidency. At this vital time of health-care transformation, Regina is excited about the opportunity to continue to represent Region 8 on the board, and to work collaboratively with nurses across the province, continuing to influence nursing practice and health care in Ontario.
