Hi NPIG member,

As we all know the public needs more information about what we do as NPs and the contributions we make to health care. That is why just before National NP Week (Nov. 12 – 18), RNAO and NPIG will be launching a new social media campaign to highlight NPs’ vital role in Ontario’s health system. The campaign is called #WeAreNPs and is meant to educate the public and inspire prospective NPs.

We need your participation, and you can participate in many different ways:

  1. Share this campaign with all your colleagues
  2. Let us know what being an NP means to you (survey link below)
  3. Tell us something about your role that you want to share with the public and other NPs

Most importantly: Agree to participate in a compilation video where you’d hold up a sign that says what being an NP means to you and then share a few words about your role. This will become part of our #WeAreNPs social media campaign before, during and after NP Week.

If you’re interested (we hope you are!), please complete this survey by Tuesday, Sept. 5: MyRNAO.ca/survey/203486. We’ll coordinate date and time to meet with everyone via Zoom to record the short videos.

If you have any questions, please contact RNAO’s communications officer/writer Madison Scaini at mscaini@RNAO.ca.

Thanks,

NPIG executive
