The Role of the Nurse in Addiction Management in the Face of the Opioid Crisis

Highlighting the various roles nurses can play in facilitating routine substance use screening, client education about the potential impacts of chronic substance use and risk reduction strategies. The focus will be placed on how to foster a judgement-free, trauma-informed model of care.

SOCH Mental Health: Empowering the South Asian Community from the Ground Up 

SOCH is a grassroots initiative that has empowered the South Asian community through local mental health workshops while creating a global presence through online initiatives and South Asian media platforms that broadcast across Canada, the US, and the UK. This storyboard presentation will share insights from the project and how to bring about community change through a cultural lens.
