The League of Excellence for Long-Term Care 2019 is designed to meet the assessed needs of the Ontario long-term care nursing leaders. This four-part webinar series will share strategies and approaches with nursing leaders (Administrators, DOC, and ADOC) to support the delivery of high quality care in an environment promoting staff excellence and professionalism. The League will focus on developing leadership competencies, expanding professional knowledge, and preparing leaders for challenges and opportunities.
The series includes bi-weekly webinars, taking place every other Wednesday, from Jan. 16, 2019 to Feb. 27, 2019.

Strategic governance and operational planning

Discuss methods for evidence-informed practice and knowledge of clinical programs

- How to use evidence-based practices to support strategic/operational planning
- Strategies to implement evidence-based practices to meet legislative requirements
- How to identify and overcome barriers to enhance and sustain QI programs

Creating a work environment to support evidence-informed practice

Participate in a focused dialogue on nursing leadership in a changing health-care landscape
Participants will learn:
- Approaches to develop capacity and utilize staff to sustain practice change
- Strategies to develop healthy work environments (communication, collaboration, diversity, conflict mgt., emotional intelligence)
- How to utilize and maximize the roles and responsibilities of various professionals in LTC to enhance the work environment

Registration is limited to one person per registration fee. Registration fee covers the four-webinar session. Related materials for each session will be provided electronically prior to the session. Cancellations will be accepted up to and including by January 4, 2019 at 4:00 p.m. EST, less an administration fee of $75.00.
